Andrea Jones Springer 6th Grade Teacher As a lifelong learner, my mission is to share my love of learning and to help my students develop the tools necessary to become confident, independent, and successful individuals. Since first grade, I knew that teaching was in my future and thus began my adventure in education. I received my Elementary and Special Education degree from Providence College in Rhode Island. Studying both elementary and special education has given me a unique insight and appreciation of individual differences and an understanding of ways to meet those differences. After moving to California, I received my Masters in Administration from Santa Clara University. Throughout my 25 years of teaching, 22 in the Los Altos School District, in grades 3, 5, and 6, I look forward to the daily moment when a student makes a connection and realizes they have the ability to find success and understanding all on their own. I enjoy participating in curriculum development and am the PTA teacher liaison. Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and 4 children. Springer Elementary is a wonderful community where children are given the opportunity and guidance needed to thrive.
