I come from a family of teachers, and I knew from the age of 7 that I would grow up to be a teacher. I entered college with the intention of becoming a middle school band and orchestra director and began teaching music in 2011. However, through my work as an instructor in the String Project Consortium, I discovered that I wanted to teach my students so much more than just music. Consequently, I went on to earn my Masters of Education and multiple-subject teaching credential from the University of Redlands, in 2015. Then, I traveled the country, teaching in New York and Michigan before returning to California. This will be my second year teaching in the Los Altos School District. My favorite parts of teaching are helping my students grow in every way and discovering new ways to improve my craft. My hobbies include participating in community music ensembles, going on hiking/camping trips with my husband, and wistfully perusing house listings on Zillow.
