Principal’s Message

Dear Springer Families,

I hope you have had a good week and some time planned to enjoy your family this weekend. Next Thursday, after the morning assembly, there will be a Principal’s Coffee in the staff room. I will share some fun filled facts about me personally and give a brief overview about the work we are doing this year as a staff. Our lives are busy with work and other responsibilities, but I would love to meet you if you have time. There will be some other opportunities throughout the year to connect as well. A thank you to PTA for supporting these coffees.

“We don’t accomplish anything in this world alone… and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that creates something.” Sandra Day O’Connor

Warmly,

Robin

We would like to welcome Ms. Cannon to our Springer community. She will be teaching Ms. Branch’s class during her maternity leave. Ms. Cannon comes to us with teaching experience in the Fremont Unified School District and also works in the Decathlon Sports Club/Camp that Springer’s hosts each summer. Welcome Ms. Cannon!

Fun! Visor Noontime Activities

What are Fun!Visor activities?

The Springer Fun!visors are part of the Project Cornerstone program and are parent-hosted lunchtime activities.  It is a way to show the kids that there are multiple "caring adults" in their school community to help build their self-esteem by helping them find their "sparks," and to give kids without strong friend connections something fun to do during lunch.

Parent Volunteers are needed

These opportunities are very flexible and can be scheduled at your convenience with younger siblings along for the ride.  Parents are welcome to sign up to help  with one of the existing programs:  Run4 Your Life, Springer Scribes, or Lego Club.  It would also be great to restart former programs like board games, volleyball, and art club, or to start something new.  This could be anything that a parent is excited to share with kids:  knitting, zumba, or stamp collecting!

Please click here to go to the Fun!Visor page on Springer’s website to learn about the activities.

Monthly Yoga is back for the 2018-2019 school year at Springer! Encourage your children to join this feel-good Funvisor class at noon in the multi-purpose room on the second Wednesday of each month with Springer parent and certified health and fitness professional, Reena Vokoun. She'll be focused on breathing, relaxation, mindfulness and lots of fun yoga poses and stretches set to popular children's music!

We will be accepting applications next week, so come by Room 11 or 12!
