Principal’s Message
Happy Friday Springer Families,
Our Back To School (BTSN) will be next Thursday (6th), and we are excited to share our curriculum and programs with you. The schedule for BTSN is as follows:
6:15-7:00 TK
6:30-7:00 K
7:00-7:30 4-6
7:30-8:00 1-3
6:30-7:00 Ms. Sen’s class
Please note that grades 4-6 are scheduled for 7:00 and grades 1-3 for 7:30.
We have had a smooth start to the school year as the children reconnect with teachers and friends. I hope your mornings have gone smoothly as everyone gets used to getting up again and rushing out the door:)
We are continuing to implement Reader’s Workshop and beginning Writer’s Workshop schoolwide this year. This workshop model teaches children the skills of reading and writing, as well as actively engages your child(ren) in owning their learning. The teacher’s will share more about this with you at BTSN.
I wish each of you a wonderful Labor Day!
Warmly
Robin

Hot Lunch for 2018-2019
The Hot Lunch program would not be possible without the 20+ volunteers that come in every week to serve lunch!  The lunch volunteer shift is from 11:25-12:15, one day per week, or alternating weeks.  We are still seeking volunteers for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Volunteers receive a credit for a free Choicelunch meal for every volunteer shift they fill.  Contact HotLunch@springerpta.netto join the lunch crew.   For more information on the hot lunch program, see the Hot Lunchpage on Springer’s website.

Back-To-School Order Form
The Back-To-School Order Form is a quick, easy, online tool that allows you to join the PTA, make donations, purchase Auction tickets and Spirit Wear, and register Walk-a-thon guest walkers.  This is a convenient way to make a single payment for your donations and orders!
The link to the form is here.
Thank you for your support of the Springer PTA!

Cub Scouts Bringing The Magic!
Springer Pack 36 invites all boys and girls grades K-5 and their parents to our first Pack meeting of the new school year. We've lined up magician Jack Alexander to ensure it'll be a fun evening and it will also serve as a great opportunity to get excited about scouting. Look forward to seeing you September 12, from 6.30-7.30pm in the Springer Multi.  For more information about the meeting and joining Pack 36, please contact Drew Spitteler - cubmaster@springerpack36.org

 Noon Duty Volunteers Needed
We are actively seeking parent volunteers for noon yard duty, especially on Thursday.  The hours are 11:45 - 12:45,
but if you are also volunteering for hot lunch, we could still use your help after hot lunch, as that is when the kids are spread out the most.  Volunteer anywhere from once a month to once a week or more. Please contact Clover at: cloverh[at]yahoo.com to sign up.

After School Programs
Springer’s after-school programs will be starting up soon.  Please check out our website for clubs or classes.
